I enjoy working with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, have a history of trauma, or are adjusting to life changes and stressors. If you are ready to do something different because what you have been doing isn't working anymore, I may have something new to offer you. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of mental health treatment, and I will work to develop a positive rapport with you. I encourage open communication about how our work together is going for you. I want to ensure you are getting the most out of our sessions together.
I ask open ended questions, provide reflective listening, explore your strengths that you can use to find your own solutions to the issues you face. I also have many different coping skills and strategies I can suggest. I like the use of workbooks and worksheets, and I also just like to listen and understand.
You can expect to feel listened to, heard, and validated at the end of our sessions. Perhaps even feel more hopeful, motivated, or able to be successful. That is my hope for you.
