I enjoy supporting people who are coping with anxiety, depression or ADHD or ASD. My education includes a MS in Developmental Psychology as well as an MSW and PhD in Social Work. I was a tenured professor and chair of my department, so I understand the challenges of the University. Additionally, I have worked in schools, a hospital and at mental health agencies which provides me a good understanding of multiple systems. Along with my professional experience, I am an adoptive and former foster parent.
Clients who have worked with me report learning new ways of thinking and skills to address overwhelming emotions. They state that I am calm and fun and not judgmental.
Although I bring a lot of training and experience, I perceive you and your family to be the experts in your life, so I listen carefully to both the children and adults who see me.
