About
My practice is currently FULL. It takes courage to seek help...for yourself or for your child/teen. I recognize how influential parents are when it comes to the emotional lives of their kids. Therefore my approach often includes some work with you to help you understand your child/teen's behaviors and to identify the implicit emotional needs in what you may be seeing. Often these externalized behaviors require some attuned response from you which can assist your child to feel and function better, and make important adaptations to family/life situations.
As a therapist for over 25 years, as well as working as a clinical supervisor to practicing therapists, I offer insight and information about child/adolescent and adult development, attachment needs through the lifespan, and concrete ways to improve your relationship with your child or partner. I thoroughly enjoy working with both adults and children.
I align with children's natural languages by using play therapy & art therapy modalities. With adults I draw from emotionally-focused therapy, and depth psychology along with elements of other evidence-informed strategies. My style is relaxed & interactive, and keenly attuned to important themes/references that allow our work to be relevant and productive.
