No assembly-line therapy here. Sessions are a full hour and can be more or less time, depending on your needs. You will find me to be open-minded and able to meet you where you are. I have extensive training and experience with a wide variety of people and concerns. I can help you understand the issues that bring you to therapy and acquire skills to manage your emotions and meet your needs. We will work together in a way that is validating and supportive, but that also challenges you to move beyond past limitations.
I work primarily with OCD (including ERP & ICBT) and related disorders and trauma but also such issues as depression, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, and more. I am a member of the International OCD Foundation and the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis.
I would be happy to talk to you on the phone or meet with you to discuss your options and answer any questions you have. I am available for confidential online counseling throughout Illinois. I am especially familiar with Southern Illinois, having lived there for many years prior to relocating to northern Illinois.
