Helping individuals from birth and beyond to 'Move Thru Change.' This is the goal of my work with children, teens, adults and couples. Whether the change you seek is with your child, parent, partner or yourself; if you feel that many options have been tried yet you continue to feel stuck, you're ready to seek help. Life is a series of transitions in which relationships shift, the past intervenes in the present and stressful or traumatic events alter life views and expectations. Combining compassion, reflection, creativity and humor, I will help you navigate the path toward a new direction.

One on one and face to face, facilitating groups, giving educational presentations, in print, by phone, on radio, on Skype, in the US or overseas the intent is the same: Provide the best of me, my training, skills, experience and ongoing learning to you.

Moving to a new home is a special transition for the whole family. Transitional Learning Curves is where savvy families come to play their way to successful relocations. The 'Your Move' series of books and games provide educational and entertaining approaches to tackling the facts and feelings of this adjustment.

Newcomers Welcome

Being a newcomer is a daunting experience whether you've moved from Manhattan or Moscow. Lived here before and 'coming home?' That can be extremely disorienting. Have kids who are certain they won't make friends? This is heartrending for any parent. 'Newcomers Welcome' explores the feelings of being a stranger in a strange place, addresses the process of adjustment and the challenges and triumphs that come with relocating, building a community and creating a sense of home.

Dealings With Feelings: Teaching Emotions to Kids

Dealings With Feelings: Teaching Children the Language of Emotion addresses the importance of learning to connect thoughts, feelings, actions and mind and body responses. Knowing what you feel and why allows you to decide how you'd like to react in any given situation. Understanding your own emotional life will help you be a more effective communicator on the playground, at home and in the boardroom. Learn skills that you can use today, teach tomorrow and reap benefits from for a lifetime.

Life's Changing and I'm Not Ready

Kids starting school, kids leaving for college, kids coming home to live; stopping work, going back to work; aging parents, aging self; marriage, divorce; new nest, empty nest; new home, selling home. Each event represents a life changing experience that involves a period of transition and process of adapting to a new life reality. Despite being life events we all experience in one form or another, the emotional wallop they can pack is often not discussed - that is, until it hits you. Learn how normal you really are, join with others and get ideas for getting through.
