Finding the right match between client and therapist is the most critical factor in achieving a positive treatment outcome. It takes a great amount of trust to form a therapeutic relationship. Compassion coupled with confronting unhealthy coping that one may not be aware of are keys to lasting change. My clients often report feeling not only understood, but also helped in understanding their struggles from another perspective. Together we explore unhelpful patterns while practicing healthier ways of being. Clients know my level of sincerity, knowledge and dedication fairly quickly as I believe genuineness is essential to good treatment outcomes.
Since 1993, I have treated women and children that struggle with grief, loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, low self esteem, body image and relationship issues. I have witnessed my clients make positive changes for themselves and believe you can too. Sometimes all we need is to feel there is hope.
My specialization as a Registered Play Therapist allows me to work with children as young as 2 years of age. Children show great benefit when working with a play therapist trained specifically to help in a child centered approach. I offer a dedicated playroom for my child clients to aid in their comfort level.
