Hi, my name is Jill and I love being a therapist. I work from a humanistic framework emphasizing self-awareness, personal growth, and living with purpose. My approach is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also integrating attachment-based, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative, and mindfulness-based approaches. Creativity plays an important role in healing. My own creative approach often helps clients feel permission to explore and develop their own creativity as a part of their growth and recovery process.
For several years, I volunteered and later facilitated psychoeducational groups at the Children’s Justice Center in Provo, focusing on the prevention of victimization and re-victimization of child sexual abuse. These experiences have deeply informed my trauma-informed and resilience-focused perspective.
Research shows most people meet with an average of 3 therapists before finding the right fit. I have a high retention rate and believe the success hinges largely on the quality of the relationship between the client and the therapist. I am confident in my ability to build rapport and create an authentic sense of trust that fosters effective therapy.
