I am an experienced therapist who has worked extensively with children, adolescents and families struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, ADHD, Depression and Tourette Syndrome. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which works to provide children with coping mechanisms and alternative thinking strategies aimed at improving self-esteem and overall functioning at home and at school. I also specialize in providing Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBiT) to children and adolescents struggling with Tourette syndrome (TS) and other Tic Disorders. CBiT is a structured approach often used to help patients develop a sense of mastery over their Tics.
I also have extensive experience as a parent coach, providing guidance to caregivers to help empower children and adolescents to develop successful coping skills. I co-lead parent support groups for the Hudson Valley Tourette Syndrome chapter which help parents navigate the challenges associated with raising a child with Tourette.
