I have had the opportunity to work with adult men, women, and couples of all backgrounds with both brief and chronic mood disorders (including depression and anxiety) and psychosis, life adjustment or grief/loss issues, substance abuse, and family/relational problems.
I take a emotion focused, psychodynamic, and insight-oriented approach, as I find it is the most effective for the client. The therapeutic relationship is an incredibly unique and helpful one that most people have not experienced, as the focus of the relationship is entirely on the client.
In therapy, I provide a warm, welcoming, open, and nonjudgmental environment for people to explore themselves and issues. In this way, I also provide a safe and nonthreatening platform that strongly encourages personal growth. Everyone has such strong potential inside, and this relationship fosters that potential.
