I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in California with 18 years of clinical practice under my license and over 8 years as an intern, working in variety of settings. I have worked with diverse clients from all ages and different backgrounds. My approach combines humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as art, music and movement/dance therapy. My youngest client was 11 months old and my oldest was 98 years of age. Besides earning my degrees in the field of counseling and psychology, I also have a degree in Art and have worked as a professional artist for many years.
Creating a safe and comfortable place for my clients is very important to me. My style is being sympathetic, non-judgmental and interactive. I listen attentively and with interest and appreciate your strive for a more satisfying and content life by coming to therapy.
I grew up in a diverse family, diverse culture and a life filled with diverse people. I believe every person I have met and engaged with has taught me a valuable lesson or more. I carry all those gifts with me and use them in my therapeutic approaches when appropriate.
