| 中文 I specialize in relationships and life transitions, with in-depth trainings to work effectively with couples and with cultural/multigenerational/ systemic challenges that present as depression/anxiety, addiction, self-esteem issues or perfectionism, relational conflicts at home or work, parenting challenges, etc. Prior to psychotherapy, I worked at top law firms and investment bank for two decades and deeply appreciate the stressful, complex work/life dynamics facing families, often seemingly as a result of their very own success. I frequently work with high achieving immigrant or minority founders, executives and professionals.
Working with couples/families requires extra skills. I'm a Certified Hakomi Therapist (including with couples) with training in other highly impactful approaches such as Gottman Couple Therapy (level 3), RLT/Terry Real (Level 1 certified) and the Developmental Model (Couples Institute). I also use tools from Collaborative Couple Therapy, EFT, DBT and PACT.
In my work with couples, traumas and complex grief, I help clients safely experience emotions, identify distress patterns, challenge assumptions, develop coping skills and recreate meaning and connections. I also work with relationship/phase-of-life transitions, such as young adulthood, becoming parents, parenting adolescents, forming step families, etc.
