My practice has evolved into helping clients who are or have experienced traumatic events that are causing problems in the present. Through my experience, I have discovered that traumatic events appear to be the point of origin relating to dysfunctional relationships and ineffective coping skills. Often unsatisfied relationships began in childhood with a significant caregiver from whom we never felt fully accepted or unconditional love. We go through life with an unfulfilled need to connect with others & our basic need to belong. Instead of contentment we feel that something is missing resulting in a void.

I work with couples to address communication differences and past hurts that were never fully repaired. Our past experiences often influence how we interact with our partners today. I strive to create a safe space where curiousity, empathy, and genuine connection are at the forefront of therapy as we take the time we need to build a sturdy foundation for change. I see it as my role to acknowledge the complexities of your relationship while providing support as you heal and build a stronger bond for the future.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas and I am passionate about providing evidence-based treatment for all mental health disorders. I specialize in OCD, anxiety, & related disorders (BFRBs, tics, BDD, depression, ADHD, GAD, OCPD). My primary treatment strategies are Exposure & Response Prevention, CBT, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (I also integrate DBT & others).
