I have 15 years experience working with clients from all walks of life. My areas of specialty include: life transitions such as a new relationship, career changes, or identity shifts, healing from trauma, alcohol use and "grey area" drinking, and non-traditional relationship structures such as ethical non-monogamy and polyamory.

In this increasingly wacky world, life can happen in a way that doesn't always seem to work. Change may be scary, leaving you feeling lost without a roadmap. I work to create a safe, supportive environment, free from judgment so you can show up and put whatever you're thinking and feeling on the table. We navigate together - exploring and sorting out your strengths and inner dialogue to harness your power (it's in there!). My goal is to help you reduce feelings of stress, sadness, and confusion, open your mind to possibilities, and give you concrete, practical new tools and strategies to get you back on your best path.

Emotions tend to be at their root of what concerns us. The fashion we act when our feelings are something we deny generally causes our dominant issues: depression, anxiety, anger, guilt, sadness. With reflection and foundational understanding we can begin growing towards a better life every day.

I believe that each one of us intrinsically possesses value and is deserving of love, respect, and the opportunity to evolve. I work with individuals 18 years and older who are interested in working on customized goals in a collaborative manner. This practice is intended to provide clients a motivational and affirming experience as they choose Outcomes they wish to achieve. The intention is to help clients demonstrate resilience as they learn new ways to effect positive change in their lives. My approach is engagement, exploration and success. Success is reaching the Outcomes YOU set for yourself. Once you have in mind a basic idea of where you want to be, you will begin to move toward it.

You spend way too much time comparing your life to everyone else’s- on social media and IRL. And your relationship? Not going so well. You either have one foot out the door or are panicking that your partner wants to leave you. You’re asking everyone around you for their opinion, but it’s never enough. You've got a stack of self-help books that aren't helping. You can’t figure out why you feel like this and it’s driving you crazy.

Many days, I struggled just to get out of bed. Then, I decided I'd had enough. I decided it was time for a change.

As a warm, compassionate, direct, and supportive clinician, Dr. Miller believes the client is the expert in their life and their experience, while looking to assist the client's understanding, processing, and evolution to their next goal. Her approach is rooted in attachment theory, utilizing the client-therapist relationship to listen, coach, and impart a curated skill set to meet a client where they are at this moment in time and walk with them towards their next chapter, goal, and incline.

Sometimes you know what the issue is and you need to find the right person to support you in making change. Other times you need support to help you identify what needs to change. There are also times when something is beyond your control, but I can help you learn to control how you respond and how your response impacts your wellbeing. We can work together to implement change in your thought patterns or behaviors in order to reduce distress and improve your quality of life. And life feels pretty hard now.
