Many people who initially come to see me do so because they suffer from immediate practical life-problems like depression, anxiety, psychosomatic symptoms, relationship problems, a philosophical or spiritual crisis; in other words specific problems, conflicts and issues that have made it difficult to live their lives with conscious awareness and integrity.
I am a certified Jungian analyst in private practice. (I moved to upstate New York in the summer of 2021 and now work via Telehealth, that is, online). I work with adults and adolescents in long-term Jungian psychoanalysis and short-term therapy using Jungian theory and technique. I'm licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington.
Jungian analysis involves dreamwork, reference to mythological symbols and imagery, focus on the deep unconscious and individuation. In Jungian psychology the focus is on the patient rather than the symptoms.
