Hello, my name is Jesus Ramirez JR, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach to therapy is not solely focused on the individual but also on the environment and psychosocial development surrounding the individual. When I'm not practicing therapy, I enjoy being active (gym) and being outdoors(hiking). I also enjoy watching soccer and basketball, as well as making home-cooked meals.
I use a diverse range of theoretical approaches to fit the needs of my clients including Systems theory and Psychosocial Development theory. In practice, I utilize narrative therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, problem-solving/solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy modalities to support my clients.
My client focus is from young adults to older adults. As a therapist, my goal is to help individuals who have or are experiencing life challenges. This can include but is not limited to trauma, cultural stress, depression, anxiety, emotional disturbance, grief/loss, job stress, relationship stress, and self-esteem and confidence.
