I take a person-centered approach to therapy, which emphasizes presence, listening, and acceptance. I'm also interested in the way that significant relationships shape our expectations of future ones. If you need someone to listen, a safe space to explore unspeakable feelings, or support for working through your past, we might be a good fit.
Most of my experience so far involves working with addiction and trauma. I have a certified therapy dog who can join us in session, and I'm interested in integrating art or experiential techniques into therapy for clients who want that.
I entered this field because I know that there are people drowning in pain that keeps them stranded from others. I don't have all of the answers, but I want to walk through the storm with you and watch you step back into the sunlight.
