I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) working in Danville, VA. Treatment modalities in which I have experience include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and many others. It has been my observation that since 2020, there has been a growing need for accessibility to services and telehealth platforms help to provide services for client's who might otherwise not get the support that they need. Therapy is one of the best investments you can make in yourself.
During the first session, I will gather background information. Of course I only want you to disclose what they are comfortable sharing. The more that I know about you, the better I will be able to offer efficacious and compassionate treatment. During this appointment we will work together to determine appropriate treatment goals.
I pride myself on being an excellent listener. My greatest strengths as a provider are for expressing empathy and validating my client's feelings. I enjoy building strong therapeutic connections with those in my professional care. I also work hard to link my clients to services in their local communities if needed.
