I hold my license in professional counseling with the mental health specification in the state of Tennessee. I have worked for over a decade in community mental health working with several clients with a history of trauma. Whatever trauma you have, big or small, I would be honored to be invited into your journey of change and healing. would say that I have a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy.
I work to meet you where you are at and apply techniques that are evidence-based and appropriate for your needs. I rely most heavily on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, emotion-focused therapy, and gestalt therapy. I have worked with clients from the age of 3 to the age of 75.
In communicating with me you will find a lot of motivational language through the use of motivational interviewing techniques. I will challenge negative thoughts while providing a lot of grace when reframing our experiences.
