I believe in meeting individuals where they are and acknowledging their unique stage of change, which is often fluid rather than linear. I see each person first and foremost as an individual, not defined by their diagnosis or decisions. My goal is to help them understand their situation while providing the skills and resources needed to live a healthier, better life—however they define it. It's crucial to let them know they are not alone, they won’t be judged, and I am here to help. They are the true experts on their lives and themselves.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Masters in Counseling Psychology at Chatham University. Over the past 15 years, I've gained extensive experience in the field, starting with family-focused therapy and in-home child and family therapy, working with families involved with child services and adolescents in the juvenile justice system.
I transitioned to an outpatient Suboxone treatment program as a clinician and lead therapist, working with individuals with substance use disorders. Later, as a clinical quality improvement associate, I helped clinicians enhance skills and treatment outcomes through individualized care. I believe in guiding individuals to improve their quality of life.
