I believe every individual has the built-in capacity for healing and resilience, even at the times that feel their darkest and most challenging. I have over 20 years of clinical Social Work experience with adults with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, caregiving, and coping with chronic health conditions. I enjoy working from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy perspective, Mindfulness, and EMDR.
My practice is called Juniper Counseling Services. I named it after our family cat as she is beloved but also struggles with her own anxiety and difficulty with trust. She has made an emotional journey of her own so she seemed a good mascot for mental health. The Juniper tree also symbolizes strength and resilience, qualities we all possess.
