My name is Jessica Saucedo, LCSW. I aim to reach my patients by meeting my patients where they are at. I utilize a person-centered approach. It is important for the person I am working with to feel heard. I utilize this method to help someone build self-confidence, and a stronger sense of identity or authenticity. This approach means that I work at utilizing unconditional positive regard, empathetic understanding, and congruence. I have worked with many individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I have had the most experience with individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, and borderline personality disorders.
I work at creating an environment where the clients I work with can feel calm and build trust and rapport that eases them into what the goal of the session is about for the client. Motivational Interviewing and empathetic listening depending on the needs of the client.
When it comes to setting goals I look for the voice and choice of the client and I lend a hand in ensuring the goal is SMART, Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.
