Every person has their own reasons for seeking therapy. Some choose it during a period of major life transitions or hardships, while others may seek out therapy in order to deepen their understanding of themselves. By using a psychodynamic and object relations model I am able to consider the whole person rather than pure symptom reduction. I believe there is both conscious and unconscious meaning to symptoms.
I specialize in individual, couple, and family therapy. I have dedicated a significant portion of my training in understanding issues involving trauma, substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety and depression.
In conjunction with my office location, I am excited to now be offering internet based counseling to individuals whom may live in rural communities or are having difficulty finding a therapist in your area. *Please note that internet therapy is only available to those residing in the state of California.
