Hi! I am Jessica Papitto, LCSW, an NYC-based therapist with over 15 years of experience working with adults in mental health. I offer a nurturing, protected space for you to talk, explore, make meaning, and find relief weekly. Whether you find yourself grappling with the past or overwhelmed with worries for the future, we can work together to ground you in the present. So many of us try to white-knuckle our way through life, pushing down our pain and needs, hoping things will get better over time or go away. You don't have to be alone with whatever it is you are facing, and you don't have to be uncomfortable anymore.
I offer support related to trauma, anxiety, mood dysregulation, relationship/identity issues, perinatal/postpartum mental health, childhood/family, loss & grief, substance use, life goals, etc. Together we will unpack and navigate your past and present life, and work on managing daily stress, mastering unhelpful thoughts or behaviors, and finding joy again.
The therapeutic relationship is central to the process, above all else. I use a down-to-earth, psychodynamic approach to support and empower you from the comfort of your own space. The ease and accessibility of video-based sessions helps to remove additional barriers like commuting or managing difficult schedules or childcare. Let's start the work today!
