Life isn’t always perfect or without problems. We all experience times where life can be hard to manage because of the day-to-day stress along with a variety of other things that we deal with in life. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and CASAC working in the field for over 9 years, I believe everyone needs time to talk with an unbiased person to process their feelings and find ways to cope with life to achieve their goals. I have experience working with individuals of all ages as well as with couples, and groups. I am passionate about working with formerly incarcerated individuals, LGTBQ+, BIPOC and immigrant communities.
I am passionate about helping people recognize their potential. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, mood disorders, and relationship issues. I have additional expertise in dual diagnosed individuals, particularly substance abuse and eating disorders, as well as trauma and crisis intervention.
My practice is informed by a humanistic perspective that accounts for the impact that race, culture, and generational dynamics have on a person. I utilize psychodynamic therapy including person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and Strength Based Therapies, as well as Motivational Interviewing.
