I believe every person has inner wisdom and the capacity for fulfillment in life. However, challenging events in the far or recent past can make this wisdom hard to access, or, at times, even imagine. Instead, you may experience anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or feelings of chronic stress. Using a collaborative, integrative approach I help you connect with your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and gain deep self-understanding and acceptance. In this way you can free yourself from self-limiting patterns and become more of who you want to be in your life.
My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and working with individuals in the LGBQ/T communities. Based on our collaboration, I blend skills and mindfulness-based approaches (cognitive behavioral therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy) with insight oriented (psychodynamic, relational) approaches to change.
In addition to my clinical work, for 8 years I co-taught Holistic Theories of Psychotherapy at Lesley University, 2 as a teaching assistant and 6 as an adjunct faculty member. My clients describe me as warm, collaborative, and practical . I love my work and invite you to call to find out more.
