My approach in treatment focuses on a genuine therapeutic relationship with my clients. I'm experienced in treating trauma, codependency, postpartum mental health, faith transitions/crisis, body image, grief/loss, family roles/dynamics, relationships and attachment, ADHD/neurodivergence, Women's issues, and substance/sexual addictions. Based on client needs, I utilize various modalities including EMDR, CBT, ACT, IFS Informed practices, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I'm enjoy working with all genders and sexual orientations. I value helping clients find the root cause for their symptoms.
I've been studying mental health for 20+ years and employed in the field for 15. My experience includes Medical/Crisis Social Work at Primary Children's Hospital; Individual, Family, and Group Psychotherapy in Adolescent and Adult Treatment Centers, College Counseling, Residential Addiction Treatment, Veteran and First Responder mental health, and Hospice.
My two favorite things are the great outdoors and spending time with my son. I prioritize my health, the environment, and the people I love. I also enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, crocheting, and local music. I'm passionate about being a therapist, and the best part about my job is helping people stop bearing their burdens alone.
