I've spent a large portion of my life trying to "figure out" the world around me. Being a child that questioned the status quo, who often felt different from my peers, is one of the primary forces towards my becoming a therapist. I understand that life can be very difficult for anyone, but it can be especially scary for children who do not yet understand just how the world works. I am a firm believer that connection is the most powerful source of healing and is the most effective tool we have in disarming fear. My biggest goal is to meet my clients where they are at, explore that place together, and figure out how to move forward.
Throughout my years of work, I've engaged with many different modalities, theories, and ideas to learn the most effective ways to promote healing. I've learned that one size does not fit all, and I can cater sessions to what the client is wanting or needing. This includes play therapy, narrative therapy, EMDR, and much more.
I know that life can be challenging, and I understand that the human experience in and of itself can be difficult to navigate, whether one is working through deeply traumatic events or simply trying to tolerate stress better. Whatever you are going through, you deserve a space where you feel seen and heard. Your feelings are valid.
