About
I specialize in working with children that are experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma, as well as children on autistic spectrum. My treatment approach is integrative and use different therapy modalities to best fit the child and family. I also work with parents to understand how their child's behaviors are impacting the family with a goal of providing parents with strategies to support their day-to-day routines. I do not treat only the "symptoms" but look for the underlying challenges in order to help long term.
In my work with children with developmental challenges, I use a relational developmental approach that focuses on engaging the child and understanding the child's individual profile. I assess children, including their sleep and eating patterns, sensory differences, history, and relationships so I fully understand them and can identify the best intervention.
My education includes a BA from George Washington University, an MA in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College, an MSW from New York University. I am also a certified DIR/Floortime provider and clinical consultant. I am also endorsed as an NJ-AIMH Infant Mental Health Mentor (Clinical). I am licensed in NY and NJ.
