My name is Jessica Kuhnen, LCSW. Masters awarded from University of Chicago. Owner of Hyde Park Center for Healing LLC. I treat clients struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, and or PTSD/complex trauma. If you have experienced one very traumatic event or several over the span of your lifetime-managing your emotions, daily life tasks and or maintaining relationships can feel really hard.
Your brain and body is greatly impacted by grief, depression, anxiety, trauma. Together we will learn how your brain and body have responded. You may have difficulty eating, over-eat, difficulty sleeping, sleep too much, or constantly feel on edge. I will teach you tools to regulate your emotions and heal the physical impact on your body’s nervous system.
I utilize interventions that have been researched and proven to be effective such as cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR and mindfulness techniques. Collaboratively, we will develop a treatment plan that fits your needs. Most importantly you will be provided a warm, judgment free environment, where you will feel safe and valued.
