Every person needs a nurturing environment that allows them to grow and thrive as an adult; however, from childhood into adulthood there are times that adversity presents itself. The road can become rocky and sometimes stop with no apparent direction in which to travel. When the road is too bumpy and travel is difficult, a therapist can help by serving as guide and aid and walk with you until the road is safe again to travel on your own.
My specialties include: anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, ptsd, depression, and life adjustments. I use evidenced based approaches including EMDR, polyvagal theory, and DBT. I have experience working with and creating an affirming space for neurodiverse individuals. I also specialize in working with people with chronic illness.
I employ an eclectic and holistic approach to counseling and tailor the interventions I use to the unique needs of the individual. My approach is relational and collaborative. I believe we all have the ability to heal and I would be honored to be apart of your healing journey.
