I provide telemental health (virtual) & in-person therapy sessions for pre-teens, adolescents, adults & families experiencing emotional disturbance &/or difficulty w/life transitions related to family/school/peer conflict, behavioral/relational dysfunction, gender identity, occupational, relational & interpersonal stressors, trauma, grief & other situational circumstances that may be disrupting one's overall mental health well-being. Additionally, I provide access to community, local & national resources & assist w/advocacy services through coordinating & networking w/other professionals, schools, support groups, courts & agencies.
I maintain an eclectic counseling approach. Utilizing a combination of treatment modalities including CBT, SFBT, mindfulness, behavior management techniques & others along with research based assessment tools, each client & I, build rapport, create realistic, attainable goals unique to their specific needs & begin navigating the therapeutic process together.
I have over 17 years’ experience working with diverse populations of different ages, cultural backgrounds & mental health needs in a variety of behavioral health facilities such as community mental health, substance abuse residential treatment, "At Risk" youth case management, crisis intervention & advocacy w/n the judicial, educational & familial settings.
