Those who come to me for therapy are ready to to experience an authentic relationship with a therapist who is real, relatable, pursues continued education, loves her work, has a lot of lived experience and appreciates humor. Through our therapeutic relationship you can begin noticing then reducing problematic trauma responses. You can begin to process past experiences and cycles that are hindering the life you want to enjoy. My clients gain skills relationally to benefit the relationships they are already in and challenge themselves to build new healthy ones.
I give clients a place to feel more comfortable being them, then take what we are working on back out into the world. I am an experiential therapist who trained to use miniatures in and out of the sand, as well as empty chairs and other action methods such as EMDR when appropriate. I respect client choice, and do not require client's use any one approach.
As a person passionate about helping others, I am also committed to my own journey of healing in order to assist others. It is challenging to start a new therapeutic relationship, and I welcome potential clients to contact me for a free and no pressure consult. I also encourage all clients to consult with more than one therapist to assess for best fit.
