Deciding to begin therapy takes courage. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the key to growth and change. As your therapist, I work to create a space in which you are free to be yourself more fully. I will work closely with you to understand yourself and your life on a deep level. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and behaviors, working to uncover what is often out of our awareness, and patterns in our lives. This process can feel daunting and unsettling, requiring patience and perseverance, but can lead to symptom relief and meaningful change.
Understanding ourselves and how we exist in our environments can be a powerful tool for growth. I utilize psychodynamic and contemporary psychoanalytic approaches to help make sense of our internal worlds and landscapes.
As a therapist, I am down-to-earth, compassionate, and strive to be empowering. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, and relational conflicts. I am particularly interested in working with people regarding gender and sexual identity.
