I have worked in the field as a mental health provider for at-risk and vulnerable populations since 2006. I am certified in Trauma and Resilience and also have a minor in special education.
My techniques include a person-centered approach, cognitive-behavioral interventions, family systems support, and, when needed, treatment team participation. Additionally, I can provide anger management, distress tolerance, mindfulness skill building, substance use education, and grief work.
When appropriate, I engage youths, as well as families, with games and activities to keep them connected and focused on learning, practicing, and processing new skills.
