I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest tools we can develop for healing. As a psychotherapist, I strive to create an authentic, person-centered, non-judgmental environment for all individuals seeking help. My clients are the experts in their lives and they engage in therapy to better understand external/internal changes, personality traits, relational patterns, life changes, and past and/or present trauma. Their goals vary, but similarly each individual desires to understand themselves with greater clarity and self-compassion. Together, we look at the whole self which is not limited to just the mind.
I have experience working with clients of all ages and socioeconomic statuses. Through my time in graduate school, community mental health centers, and private practice I've been exposed to a variety of mental health issues and therapeutic techniques.
I believe we can do difficult things, such as look within and explore our inner worlds. And, I especially know that to be true when trust, connection, respect, and understanding are established between client and therapist.
