Experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety can feel exhausting. Traumatic experiences impact all aspects of our life, career and relationships and can make every decision feel overwhelming- including the decision to find a therapist. I practice from a strengths-based approach, and I consider myself to be straight forward, empathetic, and supportive. I enjoy working with teens and adults, focusing on a variety of issues including; trauma, anxiety-related disorders, depression, life transitions, adjustment to illness, relationship issues and self-esteem. I use a multi-faceted approach to therapy, including humor!
After graduate school I worked as medical social worker in a dialysis clinic for 5 years which allowed me to understand how chronic illness impacts mental health. I am EMDR and Brainspotting Certified (Phases 1,2,3,5) and I prefer to use these methods during therapy. I have a passion for helping motivated clients help themselves.
Originally from Oregon, I've lived in Las Vegas for many years. I enjoy spending time with my dogs, traveling, and learning new things. I have a passion to facilitate a healthy, supportive environment for all who are ready to change their own lives.
