Painful life experiences can cause us to feel stuck and unsure how to live the life we long for. We may have tried so many ways to change, but feel unable to make real progress. I consider it a privilege to be a counselor and walk through this with you. I attend to the intricate relationship between the mind/body and the role of emotional experiences in our well-being. I have a complicated understanding of ways we are impacted by trauma and what helps us recover. I specialize in the areas of trauma, depression, and anxiety. I am trained in EMDR and IFS. I am a Certified Trauma and Resilience Trainer (CTRT) through Starr Commonwealth. As a counseling professor, I also have an expertise in counseling other mental health providers. I offer supervision and consultation services to counselor residents, LACs, and LPCs.
