Are you curious about how your exploration of your inner experiences could deepen your relationship to yourself and the world around you? Hi, I’m Jess. I’m a queer, black clinician who believes that we are all simultaneously imperfect and good, that our relationships shape who we are, and that we have all of the wisdom we need to heal. In my work as a therapist I’ve had the honor of sitting beside my clients as they cultivate curiosity and compassion for themselves, repair relational and systemic wounds, and recognize their ability to shape change in their lives.
My approach to supporting clients draws inspiration from abolitionists, somatic practitioners, attachment, critical race, and queer theories. While these theories and ways of approaching challenges offer helpful tools for guiding my clinical practice, the most profound thing I’ve learned about this work is that I am not the expert - you are.
My work is about leading you back to the wisdom you hold about yourself and your experiences. My hope is that through our work together, you can make meaning of your experiences and build a life that is reflective of your joy, growing understanding, and compassion for yourself.
