Jess Skinner
Counselor, LCPC, MSc
***On temporary hold from taking new clients. I will update this notice when times open up. Thanks!*** We all have the capacity to experience more meaning and joy in our lives. I love helping clients move beyond their blocks to reach their own ability to find theirs. Every client is unique: having different needs, learning styles and histories. My goal is to honor the client's individual needs to find the most effective and appropriate approach in handling their treatment.
I understand the immobilizing force and shame inherent with anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, and depression. I look forward to helping people push through such obstacles to enjoy a richer, more meaningful life. I utilize compassion, irreverent humor, a casual manner, and hopefulness to put clients at ease. Oh yeah. And dogs.
I am fortunate to have an office that allows me to bring my dogs to work with me. Deke and Roo take turns earning their keep as my office co-pilots. I currently work with adults 18 years and older. *Selecting the "email me" option in the right column below "location" is the best way to make initial contact. I look forward to hearing from you!*
