Feeling constantly at odds with yourself is exhausting. You're tired of the self-critical, worried thoughts that go through your head and the shame that rises up inside of you. You worry about how other people perceive you and if they can accept you for who you are. Sometimes it feels the only thing you can do is try harder to perfect your image, personality, or work, but you always end up feeling like you've missed the mark in some way. You wish that you could feel at peace with yourself and in your relationship with others- it would be amazing to feel some relief from the anxiety that often leaves you feeling overwhelmed.
I'm a white queer non-binary AuDHD therapist- for many years I searched for peace with myself through conformity to societal norms (hello masking), but it always left me feeling hopeless and isolated. I love helping clients unravel internalized shame and watching them bloom as they begin to access authenticity and self-compassion.
My approach is unmasked, calm, and gentle- I work well with clients who long for a nurturing and normalizing relationship where they can go deeper and know that they won't be seen as too sensitive or too much. If you're tired of empty phrases like "you're enough," and you want to pull up some bullshit expectations by the root, reach out!
