Announcement icon All of my sessions are currently being held via video and I have opened more sliding scale spots. Accepting clients from across WA state.
As a somatic-based counselor, my aim is to support you in reinhabiting your innate wisdom and sense of belonging. Many of the difficulties that we encounter are due to separation, whether it be from caregivers, community, or our own body and heart. Healing can begin by reaching out to another for guidance and reestablishing connection. Many of my clients seek me out to reconnect to their sense of self and embodying their values. I work often with others in their journey through identity explorations, anxiety, stress, grief/ loss, body image, disordered eating, spirituality and the healing of trauma.
My approach is empathic, collaborative and embodied. In our work together, we will explore the ways in which systemic forces impact your lived experience. I draw from mindfulness and body-based therapies such as yoga therapy and Somatic Experiencing. My work is informed by social justice, anti-racism, neurobiology, attachment theory, and HAES.
Listening to embodied wisdom is a radical act. It can also be an empowering guide in living a life aligned with your values and innate worth. I am here to support you in identifying what you need on your healing journey and would be honored to walk alongside you in your process.

Jess Jarris's Groups

Covid-19 Nervous System Care Online Group

With all that is churning in our local and global community, the surge of collective anxiety can impact our wellbeing on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. This online group is open to individuals looking for support, grounding and connection as we all learn to adapt to change, uncertainty and anxiety due to Covid-19. Each session will offer tools for soothing the nervous system, including gentle movement, breath practice, mindfulness, meditation and other somatic tools. There will also be time for individual check-ins, personal reflection and group processing.
