I offer therapy for individuals, children, adolescents, and families. I work with my clients from an attachment based framework. Underlying my approach in working with clients is the understanding that what really gives us resilience and emotional health is the experience of being securely connected with other people and particularly those who are closest to us. I work with clients to utilize tools to improve the interactions with areas they may be struggling. I specialize in helping clients with anxiety, trauma, and parenting issues. I am also trained in EMDR and Flash Technique to help people process trauma more effectively.
In therapy I help individuals work through the effects of trauma using EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a structured, research based approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they are no longer overwhelming, lose emotional intensity, and find that they also stop triggering distressing reactions.
I work with clients in an informed and supportive way to help them work through presenting issues in order to feel safe as they explore and heal from past negative experiences. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, resilient and discover the ability to make more choices that fit with what you want in your life.
