I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My expertise is helping people "get unstuck" from depression, anxiety, and often co-occurring, related life changes (for example, relationships, work, and loss). I'm also a mental health researcher who focuses on ways to make mental health services more accessible to people around the world.
I work with a wide range of individuals and have special experience with sexual and gender minorities (LGBTQI+) and older adults. I have a specific interest in helping people work through depression and anxiety that may be holding them back from realizing their full potential.
I see my clients as the experts of their lives and issues, while I'm a trained professional knowledgeable about available treatment options. In this sense, our sessions are collaborative, where we work together to achieve the planned goals. I also frequently use "homework" between sessions to facilitate progress.
