Hi and welcome. I would like to offer you improved insight, awareness, support, and coping strategies to suit your needs. I provide a strengths-based client-focused approach for a variety of mental health and addiction issues. I have worked in the mental health and addiction field for 9 years. I believe each person has unique strengths, and I've seen firsthand how people can make positive change utilizing them. My approach is supportive and direct, and I like to challenge you to be your best self.
I believe problem behaviors are sometimes due to faulty thinking patterns, which lead to painful habits. I like to engage you in the difficult process of working through painful emotions or old beliefs which can keep you stuck. Through therapy I can assist you with identifying and challenging emotions, thoughts, and beliefs that cause unnecessary suffering.
Like peeling the layer of an onion, I will help you evaluate the many layers that underlie your mental health symptoms, which cause unnecessary pain, anxiety, depression, addiction, or other problems. I will work with you to develop healthy coping skills and provide an outside perspective through individual counseling sessions.
