My name is Jeremy Pape and I’ve had my LCSW for 19 years. I’ve been trained in CBT and intensively trained in DBT. I utilize a combination of those methods but also employ client centered, solution focused, nonjudgemental approaches with my clients. My focus is primarily anxiety, depression, anger management and trauma. I work with ages 12 and up and enjoy working with clients that are motivated and willing to do what it takes to live a life worth living. I am most comfortable working with mood disorders, anger management, anxiety, depression, trauma and LGBTQ+ concerns.
I like my clients to feel safe and be willing to talk about the difficulties they are facing and I provide a relaxed, nonjudgemental environment for them do so. I provide a calm, empathic approach with a little humor here and there.
During our first session I briefly discuss my approach to therapy as well as what my expectations are regarding being willing, open and honest in order to insure they get the most out of their sessions. I ask about presenting concerns and some brief history and then discuss their goals for therapy.
