I get it. Searching for a therapist is overwhelming, exhausting, and all the profiles sound the same. To help you decide whether to reach out, here is what you can expect from me, aside from a non-judgmental, come-as-you-are, therapeutic space. First, I am an active therapist who will ask questions and challenge you. Second, I provide direct, honest feedback; I won’t dodge your questions without explanation. Third, humanness: No blank stares or awkward silences. Fourth, humor (but no knock-knock jokes).
In addition to helping people with anxiety, depression, and relationship and interpersonal challenges, I have specialized training treating substance use and other compulsive behavior difficulties and supporting family members. I also work with individuals on issues related to sexual and gender identity and other intersecting identities.
I offer a free 10-15 minute phone call to help you decide whether scheduling an initial appointment is the right next step for you.
