Taking the first step to get help can be a very tough decision. Many people who consider starting therapy may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, ashamed, or hopeless. My practice focuses on helping those who have experienced trauma heal in a safe, secure, compassionate, and supportive environment. I use evidenced-based and evidence-informed practices that have been known to help others, like you, experience relief from the effects of trauma. My goal as your therapist is to understand, nurture, and leverage your innate strengths and resources in the healing process and restore balance to your system.
I take a highly collaborative approach to therapy and use an anti-racist, anti-oppressive lens to better understand the role that oppression plays in creating trauma and sustaining emotional, psychological, and physical pain. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and supportive of poly/non-monogamous relationships.
The first email or call is often the most difficult, but the relief of knowing someone is there to help can make taking that step worth it. To help ease your transition into therapy, I offer free initial phone consultations so that we can make sure you feel good about your decision to work with me.
