In therapy, I facilitate a welcoming, explorative environment through the implementation of solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and existentialism. For that reason, my ideal client either comes knowing what that would like to get out of therapy or is willing to work together to determine possible areas in which they would like to see improvement. Some goals set by my clients have included being happier, feeling less anxious, improving their focus on a specific habit, building their awareness on their future, improving their relationships with their significant other, and increasing their connections with others.
I believe change occurs through conscious reflection, intentional action towards one's goals, and an active engagement in one's life. With my clients I support them in determining areas they would like to see growth, identifying steps they could take to move closer to their goal, and explore the negative thoughts keeping them from happiness.
Over the past 6 years I have been effective in supporting my youth and adult clients in various settings as a psychotherapist through their bouts with depression, anxiety, stress, transition, and crisis.
