I’m Jeremiah Hooks, LMHC, a licensed mental health counselor based in Washington State. I specialize in working with individuals 18 and older, helping them navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and men's issues. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, with a focus on empowering individuals to achieve personal growth and healing.
I utilize techniques found in Acceptance Commitment Therapy ACT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) counseling modalities to teach effective coping skills and personal competence to resolve problems related to depression and anxiety and to manage anger, moods, and unhealthy habits that often impact life in unwanted ways.
My communication style is calm, relaxed, and firm. I believe in challenging my clients when necessary to help them reach their goals, while always meeting them where they are. I pride myself on being relatable and building a strong human connection, as I believe this is essential for the facilitation of healing.
