Are you a woman 14+ who is struggling with your emotions being all over the place? One day you are feeling anxious and worried or irritable; the next day you maybe feeling numb, sad, or hopeless? Are you having physical body symptoms like IBS, heartburn, racing heartrate and doctor says it is due to stress? Maybe you are noticing that your thoughts about yourself seem to be judgmental and lack self compassion? Do you find yourself either people pleasing or fighting in your relationships? Struggling in your spirit? Unhealed distressing life events/trauma in your past and/or present can be why you are experiencing these symptoms.
In your sessions, your counselor will help you understand why your symptoms are occurring, give you skills to help reduce symptoms/prepare you for trauma work with DBT, CBT, IFS and Somatic work. When you are ready to work through past/present trauma your counselor will use therapies such as EMDR, IFS, CPT and if requested Christian faith-based integration.
